the time to move on...

There are times in your life when you are sitting at your office desk...or on your bed...or standing in a crowded train to work...when you wished you would be somewhere else...
You look at the people around you...stare at them blank...as if they were aliens...then the thought races your mind..."what if it was not this?"
"what if you were someone else? How would that feel? Some other place...some other work..some other life?"
And NO...dont get me wrong...i dont hate my present life or situation for me to want something different...the point im tryin to make really is...the infinite possibilities around you...
Every second...every moment...for everyone around is sooo different...
You might be totally lost in a crowded place...the same crowd is a party for someone around you...
What i have realised though is that somehow...if you think closely....you are exactly where you have always intended to be...you might be late in getting there...but you were nowhere different than you imagined you would be...

Life sometimes seems completely in ruins...as if nothing is making sense all of a sudden...
"Things were fine just a few days back....what happened now?"
Things are still fine...on track really...

Its all about that threshold. That moment when in your life...with people, situations, relationships, work, play...you have that one alien realization...and it hits your bad...that IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON.

That moment...defines the change in your life...in your growth...
You might not always be sad about it...actually...its best not to be sad about it...just accept it...and let it work for you...

I am at peace. Let the change begin...

bosses...rahman...update

i wont say i have been busy...that i did not get time to update the blog for long...cause that is not true...
Its just that I have been too lazy and caught up with facebook and twitter to pay any attention here...
Also, I had nothing ground breaking happening around me ... until now...
So ladies and gentlemen...as i update you on my life...with much effort to hold your interest into reading this post in its entirety...the topic for today as the title suggests...are my bosses...

I dont know about you...but i must say that i have been extremely lucky through out my professional career to have got very good bosses (*touchwood*) I know...I know...you might think i am joking...or that there must be some hidden sarcasm to that statement i just made...but there isnt...I genuinely admire all the bosses i have worked for till now!
The best about my present boss is that he has taught me not just work related but also a lot of things...which i would take as life lessons...It is said that your life is made from what is influenced on you by the people around you...and it is good to have a professional mentor that helps you grow as a person.
So...the point being...that....somehow....I think...and strongly believe...that the reason you stick to your job...or leave...has a lot to do with your boss...
I wish i would always get mentors in my professional life from whom i can learn...and grow...when they praise...when they scold....when they act...when they react...when everything that they do...is ultimate!
Your boss is your teacher after school.
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.  ~Henry Adams
Thank you Boss!

On other things worth noting down....attended A R Rahman's concert a while back...It was awesome....!
some thing that i desperately needed i think...when songs sing to your heart....make you realise things you always wanted to know...that moment Rahman gave me through his songs that day...

finding your Red T-shirt

Over the years...I have struggled to have a taste in clothes...Most of my friends used to complain about it...and eventually the nagging stopped when I let them decide on what would/does look good on me. If you ask me personally, I like to try new things...so anything 'off-beat' or trendy...I dont mind giving it a try...
But then...when a lot of people say you have a fucked up taste in clothes...trust them..its for your own good! :)

I looked at my closet the other day and I noticed that I dont have a bright Red T-shirt...
Ever since I can remember...I have always wanted a Red Tee...you know the perfect red colour...not too dark...not to bright...just the perfect one...
I have till now not been able to find one...the perfect one..
I look at my closet full of clothes...I think about the Red Tee I want...and I still get that incomplete feeling...a if there is something missing...
Sometimes... you can have a lot of things in life...you can  fill your closet with the best of things that come very near to the Red Tee you always wanted...but you will still always crave for it...and nothing can replace the thing you always wanted.
I personally believe...that one should not let go of that craving...keep shopping....but dont settle for less...
You want a good Red Tee...you keep looking for it...because once you get it...that 'complete' feeling would be priceless...
Now that...is worth waiting for....
